hi im new here hoping for some advice i have 2 twin girls born through ivf me and there mum seperated just before they was born ive had no contact with them there now 4yrs old unfortunatley there mum passed away 7months ago to cancer me and her strange family dont get on her mum and dad are in there 60,s ive tried to get contact with no answer i dont no where to start with this as its all to much for me they got her friend to marry her the night before she died and have apparently got him to adopt the kids but there then living with there 18yr old and 16yr old cousin in our old home its all a bit strange ive tried to find out whats happening but no one will answer me ive been to a solicitors to ask for advice and he said to me because im not working (im in the process of setting my own business up) it would have to go to court and id need at least £10000 and it could cost upto £60000 i told him i just dont have that sort of money he said well you,ll have to claim benefits which i told him i was,nt prepared to do as this is something ive never done and not doing it and lying just to resolve this situation and he just said well we can,t help you i got very frustrated and walked out i really nedd help to sort this situation out ive been thrugh a lot lately and its constantly on my mind and and no seems to want help me if i have,nt got a load of money thanks for listening to me i hope theres some one here can help and advice thanks greg

I guess that you are not named on the birth certificates and therefore that makes getting parental responsibility difficult.
I have asked the CCLC (Childrens Legal Centre) to answer this and hopefully they will come back to you soon
thankyou for your reply is that not some kind of deception if they,ve put father unkown on the certificates and can this man adopt them without my permission when he lives round the corner from me and no,s im there father?
