hi my name is lee

i was just after advice dont know if im asking the right place basically ex girlfriend is 8 months pregnant with my child shes an ex schizophrenic with drug and drink dependably and has been sectioned a number of times she is threatening to not put me as the father on the birth certificate and completely out of spite as a father do i have any rights ?

i have kept all records off all the abuse and lies she has put me through over the last few months proof of the silly girl taking cocaine and drunk heavily throughout the pregnancy

she has also stated that if i get the social involved she will just deny i am the father i genuinely am concerned for the health and well being for my son she already using him as a weapon

this is actually really gettin me down please any advice really would be help

Hi Lee,

Welcome to the site and I'm sorry to hear about your problem. It must be quite hard for you at the moment, but it's good that you've already started to keep a document of events.

You will have rights when your child is born. As you probably don't have any legal representation at the moment, I would contact the Coram Children's Legal Centre for some free legal advice. There's a link at the foot of the page.

Speak to the CLC and let us know how you get on.
