[Solved] being fair

hi everyone im currently in afganistan and about to finish my tour so i aint seen my kids for 7 months i have now been told of my ex wife that i cant see them no more until i go to court the reason for this is i asked her if i picked the kids up on a friday would she pick them up on a sunday as i was only getting a day and a half with my sons she refused point blank bearing in mind i live in edinburgh and she lives in hartlepool and costs are a lot i aint trying to take the boys away from there mam or anything i just wanted it to be fair and split the cost as we are both moving on and have new partners it just seems as if im the 1 out of pocket all the time and was wondering if i did go to court what could be the out come of me picking them up and her collecting them i just dont think im being unfair at all thanks chrissy

Hi Chrissy,

As far as I am aware the courts can only rule on when and how much you see your children, I don't think they have any control over collect and drop off.

The Judge may suggest what could be a good option but I don't tyhink they can enforce this.

I'd be inclined to agree with Darren - the courts could rule as you are asking, but it's not very likely. However, if you are going to go for a contact order if she's preventing contact, then you have nothing to lose by trying.
