hi,

in here there is a link to check if you can apply online for c100:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/form-c100-application-under-the-children-act-1989-for-a-child-arrangements-prohibited-steps-specific-issue-section-8-order-or-to-vary-or-discharge

i remember one of the questions in the application was something like: do you have a draft/consent order you would like to send to court for approval?

so what you could do is get solicitors involved in drawing up a consent order. then you just send it off to the court for them to approve. i have only made direct c100 applications to court so not very familiar with this. it would be good if you can have a chat with a solicitor. most offer free 30-60 min consultation.

i did c100 recently to vary order for more time with my kids. i asked them to change order to state that kids live with both parents. so now cafcass getting involved again with section 7 report, and will likely check homes of both parents. it will be easier for you as your ex already agrees to joint custody. so it should be possible to avoid a long drawn out process in court.
