Hello

Can anyone tell me the forms I need to fill out and send to the court, to vary a current contact order? My ex partner is starting to mess me about on where to pick my daughter up from, and she is also ignoring the texts to arrange the dates of contact as set out by the court.
I will be representing myself.

Thanks

Hi Inkerman

Make sure you keep an accurate diary of everything that happens (write it as soon as possible after each event/conversation/text), plus all texts etc. The courts prefer this sort of record rather than vague recollections later. Make sure you include when things go right also, it needs to be complete. It's possible you may not need it, but it's better that you have it and don't need it than the other wasy around.

Dear inkerman100,

Please accept our apologies for the delay in replying to your thread.

The form you require to make an application for variation of a contact order is a C2. You can download the forms from http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/HMCS ... mFinder.do .
The cost of your application is £45 if you are current in court proceedings and £90 if there are currently no ongoing proceedings.

It may be worth completing an EX160 if you feel you are exempt from this fee. The guidance notes for this form are called an EX160A. You should then submit this form with your application.

Your ex partner will be able to contest your application for variation but a Judge will decide what form of contact should be made available to you.

If you have any further questions please do contact us on 0808 8020 008.

Yours sincerely,

The Children’s Legal Centre
