I have been trying to get contact with my daughter, since we split my ex is refusing me any contact atall, her main reasons are that I have never fed, bathed or changed her without her being there, which is a lie although I haven't done it as much as I would have liked as we did not live together, she was living at her parents, also that my daughter gets upset if she is not with her mother. My daughter is nearly a year old I have not seen her since August 13th, are these valid reasons for her to deny me contact, I have done nothing wrong, she has a new boyfriend and does not want me in her life.

No, they are not valid reasons at all. If she has genuine concerns, then she could ask for supervised contact (but would have to give good reason why it should be supervised), but no contact at all is not acceptable unless there is a genuine danger to a child.
