Hi

I was in court last week after additional contact with my twins, I currently have every other weekend and every wed (not overnight). My ex has now said in court I have a drink problem, yes I like a few beers on the weekend, who doesnt? As a result I have agreed to have a liver function test, basically she's putting a damp squib on my social life to try and create tension with my new partner and I. I willundertake any test to prove she is just being plain difficult. I agreed in court to pay half the £450 test fee, but now think she should pay in full, and have written to the courts explaining this.

Secondly, I'm in court tomorrow, for my first financial hearing on settling the finances in the family home, contents etc. would be grateful of any advice on what to expect for first hearing, also what would you say is worth listing as contents as I don't want to get too trivial.

As always lads, all advice greatly appreciated

Good luck ! But take it from me i'm in the same position knock it on the head ! Or it will be a millstone around your neck. The courts usually don't ask you for a liver function test since these don't give a true picture of your drinking patterns. They will ask for a hair strand test which can go back three months or longer dependent on the length of your hair. This is an easy stick to beat you with but I can assure you the courts idea of social drinking and yours of very different ! So beware ! Good luck

I requested (and the court backed it) a liver function test for my ex, the GGT in particular shows liver damage usually due to long term drinking habits.

not got any experiences in listing things "yet" but i would say list everything it might seem trivial but i can bet you will miss loads out so list everything you can think of
You will proberly find that most of the stuff you list your ex will class as family items though
