I have recently had an attachment of earnings to my wages which are now capped at £167 a week, anything more then that they take from me. It costs £50 a week in petrol to get to work, add rent at £74, council tax at £20 and various other bills and you can see that it comes to well over £167 per week. They wont negotiate, whenever i call to negotiate or make a complaint my call gets dropped during transfer. Can anyone help? I will lose my job within the next few weeks if I cannot get the payments down. There is an outstanding debt on the account and they are being totally unreasonable about the payments. Good sense dictates that if they put me out of work everyone suffers not just me. I cannot afford to see my children anymore because of this. I have attached a copy of the letter i recieved from work to this message

Hi there 🙂

This is an all too common story I'm afraid and the only thing I can suggest is that you go and see your MP, they have been known to help in situations like this and at least it will open a line of communication with the CSA... If you make an appointment to go and see your MP take all the paperwork you have from the CSA, and proof of your outgoings.

Sadly the CSA refuse to take into account your expendature and just take the % based on your net income they dont care if it puts you into poverty as long as they get their cash. Do as NJ has suggested.
