Is there any kind of legislation against discrimination/prejudice against fathers in family law?

If there was i think we'd all be quoting it!

i think the official line would be that the Family courts do not discriminate........however they do seem to side first with the person making the false claims such as DV etc... but this is just until the other person can prove their innocence.

I have been advised recently that if you are being discriminated against then you can use the Human Rights Act which states you have a right to be treated fairly and a judge must consider your private and family life as much as anybody else's.

That is the nub of the problem, we have to prove our innocent, even tho they say we are innocent till proven against us.

My Solicitor has told me that I wont be making a statement against her claims, as it has not been asked for yet we could easily dispute and prove her to be lying when she calls me a child abuser thro a letter from CafCass we already have.

I would have thought a single sentence stating that you deny/dispute her claims would be worth putting in.
