Hi, you may have read in my other thread that I have began court proceedings against my ex for PR and contact.
I was thinking, does she have to show up for court? What if she doesnt? Will I have to pay another £200 for another court date?
Anybody have experience of the other party not showing up?
Just my ex is very stubborn, I can see her telling me to f*ckoff! She also works 9-5 so would have to take time off work, or does your job have to allow you time off if you have been told to attend court?

If you have a court date set, there is very little someone can do to get it adjourned.
A common ploy is to get a medical appointment booked for that date.
It is a court summons so yes she will have to go. If she refuses a judge will issue a more strict summons with possible penalties if she does not attend.
The £200 is for all of your case, so you won't need to pay another £200.00
Thanks Yoji, thats eased my concerns a bit, because it really wouldnt have surprised me if she'd turned around and said nah im not bothering.
