Hi, my first post so hello.

I am going to court next month to apply for morth contact with my 8 and 3 year old boys.
Currently I have every other weekend, sat 10am to sunday 6pm.
Also wednesday after I finish work (5pm to 7.30pm)

My query is relating to papers received from court,
I am not using a solicitor (cannot afford to).
I have served my ex (via post).
I have enclosed in my papers a form to Mediation Information Assessment Meeting.
Im not sure what to do with this.
My ex and I attended a mediation assessment a while ago after the split, our case was suitable, however she decided not o persue and use the courts!

Any idea what I do with the form?
(this may be a local protocol?)

Many thanks

Hi there and welcome 🙂

The FM1 is to indicate to the court that mediation has failed and should have been submitted to court with the C100 when applying for contact. It forms part of the court bundle. The court will want to know if mediation was attempted before asking the court to intervene. The judge may still order that you both return to mediation though.

If you didnt include it with the C100 when you first applied to the court, it might be an idea to telephone the court help desk and ask their advice.
