Advice would be welcomed please... Do I have grounds for a prohibited steps order? I've recently found out that my EX as moved my son in to a different school in the same area without informing me. and ive had to find out about it myself. the only motive for it I can think of is to try to prevent me from having access to my son's school reports etc which I had access to at his previous school. i am now very concerned that if was to write to my sons new school to be placed on mailing list etc that my EX could move him from his latest school.

Hi Jasey...I dont think a PSO would be appropriate for this and I would just write to the new school and ask to be kept informed. It might be an idea to write to the school he has just been removed from and ask them the reasons why he was moved. If they wont give you the reasons you could write to the Education Authority and voice your concerns about the move and the reasons why you think the ex has moved him and ask to be kept informed of any further moves in the future.

I dont think parents can continually move their children from school to school within the same catchment area without good reason and I would think that concerns might then be flagged up by the school concerned.
