me and my ex split up 2 weeks ago who i have 2 young children under 3 with. my oldest was away with her gran but ex had my 1 year old and wouldn't let me see all weekend while she was going to work was leaving him with a friend who he doesn't know and with next to previsions. i contacted social care over the weekend expressing my concerns about her parenting as i've been the home maker since my 2 year old was born. i've been involved in all there day to day routines. i managed to get both children and let social know and they was happy with me keeping them.
my ex managed to get the contact order in before me so im there on tomorrow 11th april. whats the chances of me keeping them with me ?

Hi David,

This isn't an easy one to answer as every judge will be different, I would say it could go either way.

Go in prepaired though have everything written down that you want to cover, so you can tick them off as you go and be sure you haven't missed anything. be ready for anything your ex may say and have answers ready too.

The more prepaired you are the better the out come is likely to be.

The fact that social have placed the children with you will go in your favour I'm sure but there really is no way of knowing which way it will go.

Are you taking a solicitor ar acting for yourself?

Well, it's not the result you were hoping for, but contact 3 days a week is a good starting point, so it's a matter of suggesting a timetable of increasing that and hopefully the court will agree to it.
