I've resently split from my wife and we have a joint tennancy on a Housing Assosiation house and have been there for 2 and a half years.
If I move out does the Housing Assosiation have to re-house me or do I need to re-apply and start from scratch??

You will have to decide who will stay and who will go, unless you both decide to leave and give up the tenancy. Talk to your local Housing Executive District Office or your housing association before you make a decision. You may not be offered a single tenancy
If the house is to large for one person ,so this could mean neither of you will be allowed to stay if the other leaves I dont think they have any obligation to offer you another house/flat you will have to go on the waiting list again.
You have to put in writing to end the agreement and the other person will need a new tenancy agreement
