Cut a long story short... I turned up to our second hearing today, regarding contact time with my son. At our first hearing, we didn't have solicitors. When I turned up today, my ex had a solicitor. Is she allowed to do this without notifying me first? Luckily the courts arranged a day when they don't open, which is going to cost her more money in the long run, but I can't understand why a court would pick a date when they aren't open!!!

I don't think there's a legal requirement for her to advise you she has a solicitor, though I'm surprised they didn't write to you to inform you. Ultimately, it's not something she can keep secret.
