So sorry to hear things are so tough for you right now. I can't imaging how tough it is, but want to encourage you to hang on in there. You're not alone, you'll find losts of older posts on this Forum from Dad's who have had it really hard too. I'd encourage you to read them. Have you thought about getting some counselling right now to help support you with where you are at? You're so important to your son & being strong for him is going to be really important. What advice has your solicitor given you? How long will it be until you get to see your son? Please keep us updated & offload here as much as is helpful.

Hi there, it sounds like you are really going thru the mill. I dont have legal expertise like some other guys on here but I can tell you it does get easier with time. Try finding out if there is a way to get on the birth certificate, this will give you parental responsibility which is a strong influence on the courts and others here can advise you about this. In my opinion the best thing to do is think positive and do all you can to demonstrate through your solicitor you are a commited parent, when the decisions are made about contact with your son it will be what you can offer now and in the future that is important. Your conflict with your ex will be secondary. You really have to start to work on a new timescale. This wont be resolved quickly but it will happen given time. You will not have to wait until the non molestaition order has expired to see your son regularly. Hope someone can advise you and jf your solicitor ios not giving you the answers you want, make sure you tell them.
