Hi all,
I was just wondering if anyone could help with my issue of legal aid. After fighting my evil ex for two years at a cost of £27,000+ I also have to unfortunate problem of, at first my solicitor applied for legal aid which was originally turned down because I earned too much, then my employment were asking for people to reduce hours because of current climate . Due to the enormous stress I was under at the time I agreed to drop my hours to 30hrs pm to save my job and my sanity.
My solicitor then advised me that I would now be able to get legal aid so I left her with it and sure enough I was awarded it. I felt great as the cost of going through court would be halved. Then the legal aid commission revoked my legal aid because they said I had dropped my hours on purpose!!!!!. I now after two years and £27,000 later have another bill for over £900 for the work carried out under my legal aid certificate I cannot afford it and am being chased by CSS collections for this money and I am also un employed. The system is so unfair I have been totally honest and have been left with so much debt its unbelievable, where can I go from here any help please.
Cheers
Steve
