i have undertaking for non mol order stupidly in a moment of madness i texted my estranged wife asking her to reconsider us being a family and try to patch things up there was no violence we have been split for 4 month and i have not seen my kids in that time i just felt down at tie thought i would try and sort it out if she goes to her solictor and goes to court will i go to prison or get fined or just get a warning
...I'm sorry I cant advise you on this because I just dont know! I would have thought you would just get a warning if its the first time it has happened. I hope so anyway.
You could try asking the Citizens Advice Bureau, or googling the question.

I agree with nannyJane that it would most likely be a warning, but do not do it again otherwise it becomes a pattern.
However, on the separate matter of contact with your children, I wouldd be looking at a contact order, probably for supervise contact at a contact centre so you don't lose out on them. If you don't have a solicitor, then speak to the CCLC - there's a link at the bottom of the website - for free legal advice on childrens matters (they won't be able to advice on the NMO)
