Hi

I remeber when I was going to court over custody how I thought that it would have been better if my daughter had legal representation. She was too young, but my thought was that none of the legal bods were on her side. Isnt it a human right to have representation?

Nigel

Hi

The simple answer is that the court is on the side of the children, and CAFCASS fulfil the role, where necessary, of investigating and reporting what is best for the children involved

Hi

That may be the case in theory, but CAFCAS were a waste of time. They interviewed those involved, but there was no investigation.

Did they not talk directly with her? They did with our son

The next problem is whether the professonals actually believe what the child is saying when it doesn't fit with their own view of what should happen!! Or just projecting their own views....

My daughter was too young at the time, the thing was that my ex was seeing a shrink, at a later time, even on boxing day; but yet they still believe the smoke of having a nice tidy house so everything was ok. The kitchen was clean n tidy, but yet the pans/cooker had not been used in months.
