I've just come across a useful website that allows you to input your locality and be given names and contact details of Mediation Services, it also indicates whether the service accepts Legal Aid clients.

UPDATE -

Sometimes it may be more cost effective to go through the National Mediation Service as I believe their charges are linked to a clients earnings. Some Mediators are solicitors and their fees can be very high, my advice is to do your research and look at all of the options available to you. Heres a link to the National Mediation Service.

One of my mates went to a Mediation service that wasn’t ran by solicitors, it was by a woman who used to work in social care . He and his missus said it was the best as both realised it was the child they should be focusing on . Wish I had done Mediation before I got 5 grand solicitors devorce bill !
