Advice please!, my ex partner has just fled from her abusive boyfriend . We have a 3 year old son together , she turned up at my door over a week ago and has put in an interdict against her ex whom is loving in her and my sons old family home . However it has came to my attention that she drinks every night and is currently on a methadone programme , I am fearfull for my sons safety for as and when she returns to her old abode I am not sure if she has any offences but I myself am 100percent t total , I work out for my high I am unsure on how to approach the situation any advice would be greatly appreciated
Yours thankfully Alfie's dad .

Hi Alfster and welcome to the forum.

I have moved your posting into its own thread.

I would suggest that the first thing to do is to speak to childrens services (social services) regarding your concerns. If it came to it, would you be able to have your son live with you permanently? If so, I would consider applying for a residence order and tell childrens services that you would like to do so - it may be that they would see this as a preferable option and support your application.
