hi, I have been paying to the c.s.a. for 15 years, My name is not on the childs' birth certificate. The mother registered him without my knowledge and he does not have my name, and has denied me any contact with the child since the day of his birth. I do not know where the child or his mother live. I am told I have no legal rights to see the child.

When first contacted by the c.s.a. I accepted the child was mine from the start as I was living with her at the time and have now been informed that there are arrears that have mounted up and I have to start paying these, which will cause me financial hardship.

Where do I stand legally and Financially on this matter. Can you please help?

I'll ask the CCLC to pop on and advise on this with regards to contact.

With regards to the maintenance, unfortunately, if you are in arrears, then the CSA can chase you for this. However, if you have been paying the CSA, do you know why the arrears have built up?
