Posted in another room but realised it should be in here!

Hi all. New to the forum & had a good nose round. As the above title, I'm out of options. My ex wife has decided to move without notifying me of her address. I have not seen my 7 year old daughter for nearly 2 years (not my decision I might add) & earlier this year I found out they had moved. Her school still sends me updates & I attend parents evenings, however they are bound not to provide address details. My solicitor has been ok, although not very pro active. Does any one have any advice on how to (legally) obtain her address?

Many thanks,

Mick

Hi Mick and Welcome.

As you have a solicitor, have you been to Court and obtained a Contact Order? If this is the case, then you could apply for an Enforcement Order and this process would reveal the current address.

This has been discussed on here before, and I have looked around for the posts but havent been able to find them. I believe from what I have read, that there is a legal avenue that will enable someone to find out their childs current address and I'm hoping that one of the more experienced members will come along shortly to advise on this.

Hi & thanks for the reply. I am in the process of completeing the C100 Form & my concern is, I dont have the respondents address! If I send the form off to the court, do they then try to track them down?!

Many thanks,

Mick

Hi Mick,

I dont know, but you could try phoning the Court, explain you are in the process of completing the C100, and ask what the situation is if you dont have the respondents address.
