I have at present a personal injury claim ongoing for hearing loss, my question is does my ex have legal right to 50% of the claim. We have split 3 months ago and she has sent a solicitors letter requesting a number of things but i am unsure on this can someone please advice. steve
Hi There,
I wouldn't be 100% certain but I would imaging that she may be entitled to a percentage of the money awarded to you, it would be the same as if you were left some money in a will or something similar. until the finances are sorted I think that it would still be taken into account.
You would need to confirm this though through a legal channel.
