Hi r1ste85

Welcome to the Dadtalk site. I can imagine after reading through other topic for a while now the whole process of parenting, especially after separation must be very confusing. I am sorry that your partner won't let you see your daughter and I can imagine how upsetting it must be for you. It's equally as upsetting when she says that you are not the dad. It may be a way of her getting at you but the only way to settle this once and for all is through DNA testing. There are many online companies offering DNA testing but a court approved test will need a sample from you.

You could try writing a letter asking for contact and if you and she can't agree on this between you then mediation is the next step but I am not sure whether she has to respond to attend mediation within a 14 day period and it may only inflame the situation if you were to insist on this. You can get advice about mediation from the Family Mediation Helpline 0845 60 26 627, http://www.familymediationhelpline.co.uk

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get on.
