Can anybody tell me how long will it take for my S7 interveiw after a S7 as been ordred at court ?
Will they talk to me more than once ?

can i choose to have the interveiw at my home or do they tell me what to do ?

will they tell me what my wifes concerns are so i can address them ?

will they tell me what my wife is seying about me or tell her what i sey about her (wife will not speak to me ) ?

is a CAFCASS S7 and a local Authority S7 the same thing ?

Will it be fair with me ?

...it can take up to 16 weeks for the report to be completed.

The report will usually be in your own home, but sometimes they can ask you to attend at the office.

They will not tell you what happened at the wife's interview and the conclusions they have made but they may comment on her allegations and ask for your response.

If your wife has said things that they want to check on they will ask you for your side of things.

A section 7 report can be compiled by CAFCASS or the Local Authority Childrens Services department. It's the same report whoever does it.

I would like to say yes always, but sometimes it seems unfair, they can get things wrong and miss things out. You will get sent a copy of the completed report and if there is anything that you disagree with and can prove is wrong then you can contact them and request that it is amended.

When you have had the interview ask the reporter when you can expect to receive a copy. If you haven't received the report within the time they have said then you should chase it up quickly, don't leave it until the last minute in case it is wrong and you want to try and have it amended.

It can take up to 16 weeks, you should get a letter from the court about the outcome of the first hearing and it should tell you in that who will be doing the report, then you can contact them and try and get an idea of how long it should take.

They might write about allegations that have been made from both sides....if you can prove the allegation is wrong that would be best otherwise you will just have to tell them that the things she has said aren't true.

I think the fact that you are seeing CAFCASS probably suggests that there is no significant safeguarding issues - I would have thought. If social services were involved they would probably doing the section 7 - so perhaps taken some heed in this. Good luck
