Hello all,

My Social Service Meeting (Child Protection Plan) is just days away now.

My Daughter's social worker rang me yesterday and was asking me questions about what my concerns are for her report, she also took note of how much I'm earning and what my current living arrangements are how ever she caught me at a busy time at work so i told her i would create like a report of everything that's going on and attach photos etc for it, she asked me to make copies for everyone that's going to attend the meeting what is 4 social workers, the head chairmen? and my daughters health visitor along with myself, my ex partner and her mother Ive written all my concerns in to like bullets and named photos for diffrent concerns etc. Photo 1,2,3 i just need help with the start of the letter like how i should present it with the layout and everything as i want it to look half decent

can anyone help? I'm not asking for a letter to be written just need help with the layout and what do i start it with?

thanks Karl 🙂

Hello Karl

I am an adviser at Family Rights Group. We advise families in touch with Children’s Services.

Obviously a few days have passed since your post so I’m not sure if the child protection conference regarding your daughter has taken place already?

What you have described RE: your report to the conference sounds really clear and appropriate. It is always a good idea to keep things as clear as concise as possible with bullet points etc.

Regarding format, I would simply advise that you start with a brief opening paragraph highlighting that your daughter is your priority in the situation and that you want to work co-operatively and in partnership with professionals (and your ex partner if you feel you can say this) for her best interests.

Emphasise that you are raising the following issues only out of concern for your daughter’s welfare in order to plan the best way forward for her.

Hope this helps.

Best Wishes
