As long as you have PR then your ex cannot “officially” change your child's name without your consent.
However she can make him “known by” whatever she wants unless there is a court order in place that prevents her.
I’m in court Monday regarding my ex making my child known by another name….but this has been dragging on for 2 1/2yrs and I only found out she’d started calling him her surname at the beginning of 2012….i’ve been fighting this issue amongst others new cr*p she does since then and the last 2,1/2yrs!

Request a shared residence order they cant change the childs name if one is in place. I'd also argue that by changing the childs name it's further proof of her forcing you out the childs life.

I would also wirte to the school/nursey they attend asking for your details to be added onto the file and ensure that your child is only known by their current name as per birth cert.
