hi Pete and welcome 🙂

Its so upsetting when mothers use their children as a stick to beat the father with...Unfortunately with no contact order in place she holds all the cards. If she decides not to allow you to have him the weekend of the wedding, theres not a great deal you can do.

Perhaps as there is a Social Services assessment on going, you could speak to them and explain how upset your son would be if he is not allowed to go, that you feel its because you reported the mother to them, and that she is taking this action and using her son in this way because of that. They may speak to her, but ask them to record your contact with them, as if you were to go to court at a later date for defined contact, a record of her unreasonable behaviour would be useful.

You could try Mediation, you should be able to get an appointment before March, and that would enable you to discuss the issues and try and get her to see reason, afterall by preventing your child from attending the wedding she is punishing him too. heres a link ~

Best of luck with it all 🙂

Hi Pete

Check with your solicitor - it's possible that a specific issue order may work to get you that day. The alternative would be to go for a contact order with an interim order to specify the wedding, but you haven't mentioned that contact is generally any issue, so this may not be so advisable.
