Dear friends,

I just wanted to see if anyone can maybe advice me on my matter as I have been in this weird situation for quite a while now and I am really getting tired of it.
I am a father of a 6 year old girl, and have no PR,my name is not on any legal documents.
I have tried for the last few years to make some sort of a legal binding agreement between her mother and myself so that I know when exactly can I see my daughter and how much would I have to pay for her mother's expenses.
Her mother has denied any of my proposal's for an agreement and all she wants from me is to give her the money and if I get to see my girl or not is not really so important to her.
I have tried to bring in the mediators and lawyers but the mother has not responded to any of that.
I am stuck and I really want to move on. I would like a legal agreement between the mother and me so that I know when can I see my daughter.
Can anyone please advise me on this?
Or at least point me in the right direction.

God Bless and thank you for your time...

Sincerely,
Rade

Hi there and welcome 🙂

If you've tried several approaches to her over a long period of time with no success, then you have no alternative but to go to court. You can apply for PR and contact at the same time. You dont need her consent to do either.

To apply for PR you need to apply with form C1 and to apply for contact you will need form C100, both forms can be downloaded from www.justice.gov.uk ...or you can pick them up from your local family court. If you are using a solicitor then they would supply the forms and deal with the process for you, but many Dads cant afford a solicitor and choose to represent themselves. If this is the case for you then there are a couple of stickys that are at the top of the Legal Eagle section, one concerns the Contact Order C100 Guide and the other is a Guide to Representing yourself in Court. Have a read through them as you will find some useful information there.

Good luck with it all 🙂
