Hi all, long complex story but I've had some legal advice today that has totally destroyed me. My daughters Mother has stopped me from seeing her and she will not attend family mediation with me. I've been told that I should be granted a child access order no problem - great.
However I've also been advised that in reality these don't work, the mother can just ignore them with no fear of consequence and can continue to deny me access to my child. Is this true?

There have been a few posts on my questions about this further in this section of the forum.....there are ways and the courts seem to be a little more forcefull these days it seems but its a long road for some of us due to the nature of the ferociousness of the ex's!!!
It does seem to be the way of things, but as d-i-d says above, the courts are changing. In reality, you have absolutely nothing to lose (apart from 200 and some of your time) by going for enforcement, and keep at it - eventually, the courts will start to take a harder line with someone in breach of the order, or in contempt of court.
