hi i am a little new to this but could do with some advice.

my wife and i are at the final stages of the divorce and we just need to sort out the house.
there is about £75k in equity in the house i asked for 30k if we sold the house in 12 months but to not mess my boys around i said she could live there till they left school/collage and then after the sell of the house have 40%.
we went to court and they said we needed to sort out the house he said that 40% might be to much to ask for and maybe take what she was going to offer as a lump sum/clean brake as they call it.
i then said i would take 20k and 24%
she offered me 10k which went up to 11k after i rejected this offer.
but the problem i have is
i then went to the bank to see about a new mortgage the bank will not touch me as i am sill on our mortgage and pay csa to her.
do i take the 11k and do the clean brake or do i hold out to see what the court will say.

just to add i have run up a bill of debt 15k since i have moved out of the house could do with some advice thanks

You really need legal advice from a divorce lawyer on this, or at the least, have a word with the Citizens Advice Bureau. One thing I would advise though is that sometimes it's worth giving a bit more than you initially intended as it can save you more than that on legal fees.
