I'm SR in court next week at an interim contact hearing.
I'm just trying to think of a way to put across WHY it's in my child's best interests to see me. We all know it is best, but I'm trying to think of what to say and how to word it to the sheriff.....

Simply put though, there is a lot of research out there which shows that when children have a positive relationship with their dad, they are more likely to:
• do better at school
• stay out of trouble
• have higher levels of self-esteem
• develop healthier relationships as an adult

The court wanted the 1st but I persuaded them for the 5th. However on reflection I feel confident for the 1st so will ask to change it on Monday.
It was out of courtesy for her that I chose the 5th as she wouldn't be working.
