Hi can any help me please I have just been to court to stop my ex partner getting residency of our daughter and have been told by the judge I have to now prepare a witness statement for final hearing,to be honest I have not got a clue where to start also representing myself in court any info regarding preparing a witness statement or website I can download a tempted version would be very helpful

Are you sure the judge asked for a witness statement and not a position statement?
Hi thanks for your responce yes judge requires witness statement due to allegations being made
...Cant find much about witness statements other than this on the justice.gov website here -

You could telephone the court helpdesk and explain that you are self representing and ask if they can supply a template for a witness statement or if not, any advice that they can give on the format.
