I am a dad of a, once, lovely sweet daughter - funny, Smart, Outgoing and hung on my every word. Then one night when she was twelve she went to bed and the next morning came down stairs as a totally different person. She went overnight from "Daddy Knows Best" to "Daddy Know's F**k All". I think maybe aliens had replaced her with someone who looked exactly like her but acted completely opposite. ;;) Trust me, she really did look the same - but don't let them kid you, it wasn't her.
Hormones have a lot to answer for and I thought that I would start a blog to share some of my stories about bringing up a teenager. It won't serve as a shinning example of parenting but if nothing else may serve as a warning. 😉
I will leave you with this thought. Enjoy the pre-teen parenting years - they are the best of times - don't miss a moment, savour every second as it passes so fast. Then some evening, when you're not expecting it, your lovely little cherub will be replaced with a hormone filled tornado of door slamming, ear splitting, stair stamping fury.
Enjoy
