About three years ago, we went to France by ferry. When we were driving onto the ferry, I noticed a hosepipe running water into the sea. I pointed this out to my daughter (who was about 8 at the time) and said 'look, they're filling up the sea'. My daughter genuinely believed this, and replied 'oh, cool'
