Hi was just wondering if anyone else on here knew about or had a child with dyspraxia! My son has suspected dyspraxia or a D.C.D. (Developmental coordination disorder!). He also has Hypermobility syndrome (Double jointed). I was just hoping 2 share advice/experiences with other Dads on here?

Hi there

I have to say I have never heard of that - I am sure that someone else will have. What does it mean for your son?

Please feel free to share - you never know we might be able to help!

Its just harder for him to get is body 2 do things than other kids! He cant run as fast as other kids, grip a pencil very well, and his balance at times is really bad! Basically his brain has problems coordinating the body! Before Dyspraxia was discovered some children affected by it would just have been labelled as the clumsy or lazy child because they struggled so much to do things that were comparitively easy for the other kids in their class! Type in "dyspraxia is a pain" in to youtube? Theres a really good poem by a 9 year old girl talking about her experiences concerning dyspraxia!
