My five year old daughter has been diagnosed with anorexia nervosa. I have no idea how to help her. She refuses all food and is currently in hospital where she's got worse, now she's refusing fluids again. I'm worried sick about her. We lost her mother and both my sisters to anorexia. I'm desperate for advice.
Thanks guys.

Hi mikey94'

My heart goes out to you and your daughter, it is must be a very distressing time for you and your family.

As you can appreciate anorexia is a very specialist subject but I had a look for some support of you and I have found a website that has a Parents helpline which is free...this can be accessed from their website, here's a link -

www.anorexiabulimiacare.org.uk

It might help to give them a call and have a chat. I noticed that they have links to other organisations and support on the website too..I d hope you can get the help that you need, we are here if you need to talk.

Hi Mikey

I honestly cannot imagine what you are going through. As NJ says, it's very specialised so I wouldn't want to add anything more than the excellent advice she's already given.
