Hi and welcome to the forum

It's always difficult adjusting to the fact that your children are no longer a constant presence when you separate, the trick is making sure that the time you do have together counts as much as possible. How old is your daughter, how much contact do you have and are you and your ex on speaking terms?

she is 7 and its the hardest part being away from her because i have a small heart condition which started just befor her 1st birthday i was unable to get work so spent most of the time with her raising her, i get to see her a couple of time a week atm but as i have had to move back to my parents which is making it worse and currntly have no job or transport it makes it difficult but i try to do the 40 min walk at least 2-3 times a week atm

Oh, that's pretty tough going, though on the good side, you do seem to be getting a reasonable amount of contact.

Welcome Kingfort!

Sounds like a real tough situation you're in right now. Would be great for you to have the one week rota with your daughter. Have you found out whether you're eligable for any help with housing costs, now you're out of work as well?

I hope you find the DadTalk site helpful & please feel free to ask any questions that may help you in your current situation. Any posts you're able to make letting us know any updates etc are also very useful for others in a situation like yours.

Really hope you get the breakthrough you need soon.

thank you all for the welcome to the boards its has been a week since i have been on since then i have had a lot of ups and downs mainly from the heart surgery that i went though i have spent some time with my baby girl last week end which i made a big fuss off.

im afraid that i am stuck living with my mother atm as i cant even afford a deposit for a a room in some ones house which he wanted £640 pounds for cant afford that.

but on a lighter note i am out this Friday night mostly thanks to dadstalk and a posting i found about the round table i have been in contact and they have asked if i wanted to go out on a charity run with them this Friday night for children in need so im taking a big and going for it will let you all know i go.
