Hi Everyone, new to this site, and well new to being an expectant father too...

I was reading a book called, " The blokes guide to pregnancy " - and in the opening pages it went on to say how most if not all the material is aimed at Women (obviously) but then there is the other of the 2 that tango'd.. to make the baby.... and well him being me havnt really got to many people to talk to or look to for adivce on this whole new chapter thats now happening in my life.

Actually trying to get into a converstation with some of my male mates has proved a bit hard to thoght id join here and see how this works and hopefully make some new "cyber buddies" who know what im going through, and maybe have some advice or expirience to share!

Im 33, and this will be my first baby. We are going for our first scan tomororw, to say the reality of this is all kicking in would be an understantment. And as much as I am of course really happy, and this was all planned.

Im Sh*****g it too !

Hi Monkeyman

Welcome to DadTalk and congratulations on the great news!! Don't worry about sh*%%ing it - we all do and there really is no right or wrong!! Every pregnancy and every child is different.

Therefore relax and try to enjoy the whole experience - the mood swings and odd behaviour you will laugh about in years to come.

Please join in the forums and keep us posted
