Hi All

Im new on here, and also a new dad to a little girl of 3 months old, i was very apprehensive to become a dad but took the plunge at 39 years of age and i dont know what all the fuss is about. After the initial month of sleepless nights she has started falling asleep at 7pm and then i have to wake her up at 7am, i heard so many stories of it being a "nightmare" but for me its been easy and fatherhood has come very naturally, of course ive made a few sacrifices (not seen my mates at the pub so often) but all worth it and wonder why i didnt do it earlier in life, my question is will this continue or is there a something round the corner? or do i have the daughter from heaven?

cheers phil

Hi Phil, and welcome to the forum.

It can vary, but if you're finding it easy, it's quite possible you have got a good one (in reality, many of them are) and apart from a few tantrums etc, hopefully it will continue.

You may be in the same situation as my parents. Their first child was my sister who was the perfect child, so they had another one (me) who turned out to be a real terror - they said if I'd been the first one, I'd have been an only child 🙂

Your baby girl sounds like a dream. We'd all be guessing if we said whether it would last or not, but I'm glad you're enjoying it! You're getting way better sleep than me & my youngest is 4!
