Hi There,

Can you give us some more details please?

Have you loged onto the CSA web site and use the calculator to see what they say you should pay based on your wage?

Do you have any back payments added?

Darren

hi1 yes i have been on csa calculator and that states £51 per week, they say based on their calculation i owe £5000 for 1 year backpay.
the thing is i havent heard from them in 4 years as ive had an arangement with my ex, as weve fallen out she has said to csa that i havent been paying her. yesterday i got a letter saying there was an attachment of earning for £424 per 4 weekly pay. i noticed that the letter they sent had been delayed from the date stated, probably so i havent got time to take it off. i havent been asked for any of my outgoings or anything they have just got my wages details from work without asking me. any advice would be gratefully appreciated. sean

Ok This will help the CSA guys be able to advise you.

I will try and get the CSA guys to drop by and have a look,

how were you paying her?

do you have records of bank transferes?

Darren

🙁 bad news im afraid, the csa havent given me enough time to go to court and get a solicitor, they dated a letter then sent it 2 weeks later thus leaving me 12 days to get this to court which takes 28 days. thanks csa,( underhand tactics or what ? )

I'm not sure if the CMO can give advice on this, but I'll ask them to pop on anyway.

Hi, I'm Sarah a consultant at Child Maintenance Options.

Unfortunately I can't look into individual cases as Child Maintenance Options is a separate organisation from the CSA. I suggest that you contact the CSA and tell them that you received the letter two weeks late. I would also ask them full a full break-down of how they calculated the amount, and make sure they have the correct information about your circumstances.

I hope this helps.

Sarah.

good luck mate. i also have what they call a 'family based arrangment' to contribute towards my sons. i insisted that it is always paid from one bank account to the other though, as then there is a record of it. my eldest son's mother has made things awkward in the past so i try to do everything so i can provide proof of payment. good luck again, i hope things work themselves out for u, and, as i have learned from past mistakes, paper trails are worth their weight in gold!!
