Hi, can anyone help me, please.
My partner and I have just split up, we have a 6 week old son.
All I've ever wanted is a baby and I'm not willing to have her take him away from me.
Can anyone give me advice on going for full custody
Thank you in advance
A very hopeful
Dave

Hi Dave,

Bet this is gut renching being away from the baby this early on,

You can apply for full custody but be aware that the childs mother will probably have the same view as yours, so it won't be an easy battle.

If you want to go for full custody you can apply to the courts, it is probably going to be a long process, but you can use the experience on this site for advice and support.

are you and the childs mother on speaking terms at all??

I agree with Darren, it will be an uphill task, and with a baby so young, your son is going to be very dependant on his mother. Are there any circumstances that you consider make your ex unsuitable to have custody of your son?
