Hi!

I'm Dave, 35 - Call Centre Manager - happily married for 6 years. First child due 2nd Feb. Very excited at the moment tinged with a small amount of worry (work not very stable at the moment, already looking elsewhere).

Previous effort ended in miss-carriage at 14 weeks.

Just thought I'd register and say hello. Will come back begging for advice as various things loom up!!!!

All the very best

Dave

Hi Dave

Welcome to the site - why do you think your job is a little unstable at the moment?

As for advice - we are all experts at sleepless nights, dirty nappies and screaming babies so feel free to ask

Hello!

Sorry it's been a while!

5 days overdue now but everything seems to be going fine with mother and bump in fine fettle. I seem to have side stepped the company cull so that's good news as well!

We don't know what gender we're having yet but I'll be sure to update!

Anybody heard anything about delayed cord clamping? Widwife was raving about it but the ante natal classes I've gone to have made me a little sceptical of midwifes with strong opinions about things. The way they demonised bottle feeding was, to be honest, rather insane lol.

All the very best

Dave

Excellent news about avoiding the bullet at work (must have been extremely stressful for you) and great that mum and bump are doing fine. 5 days overdue - you must be climbing the walls at the moment .

delayed cord clamping ? Not heard about it but googled it an it appears to be standard in some hospitals but not in others. What has your midwife said about it ?

Hi

Hmmm top tips from us blokes now you're asking!!

Try not to keel over

Remember if your wife says she hates you she doesn't mean it

She will squeeze your hand like nothing you've ever felt

Apart from that just smile as this day will change your life for ever

I wish you all the very best from everyone here

my ex had my 3 by caesarian.

First time I was in the room and fainted when it was all over.
Second time I was outside in the corridor.
Third time I was 50 miles away.

Second time was the best 🙂
