Hi Guys,
As of tomorrow a new upgraded version of the site should be available.
The good news is that the forum will have a new look as well. The bad news ? Well as part of this upgrade the forum will be unavailable between 23:00 29th November through to 02:30 30th November - Sorry any night owls who normally log in between those hours.
All the little niggley things that are a bit flakey on the current forum (like subscribing to threads and posts) will work - and will have some aditional functionality as well.
If you experience any issues with the new version of the site please don't hesitate to let me know.

As is the case now - you can add your own avatars. The new forum has a much bigger display area for the avatars.
So I should be able to add the animated version of mine. 😉

See you already have your avatar set up.
If you look at the forum drop down menu at the top of the site there is a recent topics option - they should appear there mate.

I flippin love this new look, so much cooler. Have spotted a few small issues but guess things will take a while to iron out.
And at last I can get an avatar up! Not as snaz as Gooners but hey it's an avatar!
One more question - how do I set the default so I don't get mailed on every reply to my posts? Or is it a cunning plan to slow me down a bit by bombarding me with emails? 😆
The default setting was to subscribe to all posts. I have now changed this so the user will have to subscribe to threads - to stop recieving the emails click on the unsubscribe button below the posts to the left.

Hey - animated avatars are easy to find - still think you should have gone with the animated trampolining elephant one
Is it me or is Goonerplums cat giving us the evil eye? I am also slightly disconcerted by the finger thing!! Is there a virtual bin I can place him in?

I think the smilies are still being worked on. If you reply to a post, there is a box just below the message box for attachments, so you should be able to attach a picture there. To add an avatar, edit your profile (click on your name in any post to get to your profile) and it's in one of the tabs there 🙂
Avatar - far too complicated for me!! Maybe I will ask one of the kids to do it for me (if they ever get off the X-Box!!!)
