hi guys

Im new to all this talking about my [censored] life and how the system is totally screwed up. i thought we lived in the 21st century when everyone has rights. but it doesnt seem that dads have any rights. i split from m patner about 6 weeks ago and about 4 weeks after she said she was getting back with her x (you might think thats ok) but hes just been realeased from prison for rapping his 12 yr old daughter. after they admited to the social that was the case a child protecton confernce was called, at which she now says that they are not going to be continuing there relationship. it was also brought up about how she has neglected her other children in the past including leaving her 15 year old homeless a few weeks ago to move into a refugee (im not perfect but i sorted my issues out last october by stopping my 10-12 pints drinking habbit) but she still went at me with knifes. my boy finley 2 is now showing anger signs (seen in report at confrence)

Idont understand how the social can leave my boy in the hands of some one having mental problams and is happy to see a pedo its fucked up i had total faith untill yesterday

cheers for listerning/reading

Hi eagle and welcome

I'm not an expert by any means on social services, but I do believe that they first try to work with the resident parent to support them with raising any children living with them - unfortunately this can be harsh for the non-resident paretn watchin from the outside. I would hope that social services are keeping a close eye on your ex, but if you have information that you think they are not aware of (for instance, that the relationship with her ex is continuing), then you should certainly speak to SS about this. Ask them if they can keep you informed at all stages of what is going on.

Cheers I know there monitoring it closly but I don't understand after all the negative comments that where given in my x-s direction how they can put my son in her care. Its was plain and simple that she neglects her kids. she had her two youngerst daughters taken away from her. I found out the other day she's giving her 15yr old daughter weed to smoke. It just seems she's been given a chance to [censored] my sons life up. Why o why don't they do the sensible thing let me have him untill she can

A. Prove she's not seing the pedo
B. Prove herself as a mum
C. Prove she's sorted her mental issues out

Surly this is in finleys best intrest and marias.

Are they ss aware that your ex has given your daughter drugs - I would say that this is extremely serious? If they are aware, you need to ask what they are doing to prevent it.

Hello to everyone. First I would like to say that sorry if my writing/spelling is not always perfect as English is not my main language. I'm 31-years old dad from Finland. I have one daughter how just had her 1-year birthday. I have been looking for places to talk with other dads but I have not found anything from Finland. So I googled in English and I was thinkin that, "It does not matter that this is not Finnish forum. Dads are dads everywhere". So here I am and hopefully this is the place where I share toughts about everything and maybe have some new "friends" too.

Yes her eldest daughter told them. It just seems I got involved in a f@@k up family (I used to do it but the kids were asleep). Maria used to do it in front of them but as she's the mum and came round the other week and forcfully removed him from my care (no charges as not enough evidence). She's alowwed to do what she likes.

I thought I had a case but it all seems against me as their leting her have a chance again.

I hope she messes up so much but it won't endanger my boy.

hi beluso and welcome on here. Plenty of dads on here to share your experience with, and the advantage of the forum is that distance is no barrier 🙂

Hay, well in my area people aren't used to my situation, my daughter lives with me full time and her mother sees her at the weekend, and certain people believe that this is wrong, as do some sites i have visited.

Its a shame that fathers are confined to certain roles when it comes to parenting, In what people believe is Acceptable involvement, Some people think my involvement is too much.

Two weeks until my next child is born which is exciting, the last few weeks really drag for me. Been a harsh pregnancy this one.

Hey, you'll definitely not get any prejudice from anyone on this site, and especially not from me - my children live with me, and my ex used to see my youngest once a month (that has stopped a couple of months ago as my ex says she can no longer afford to travel to see her, even though she can afford other things).

My barrister, when I had got the residence order and was sorting out the contact order, said that legally I was a freak - so nice to welcome another legal freak on here 😀
