Hi I am a first time dad and I am 20.
I am finding being a dad great but very tiring.
My son was born on the 2nd January 2010 weighing 5lb 8oz.
He is just awesome! Vinnie Sean was named after my brother who we lost to cot death,I find it hard to relax when he is sleeping through the night but have a safety alarm.
please post back so I can get the feel of the place here.

Welcome along and congratulations!

Sorry to hear about your brother. I'm sure all will be fine for you and your new family. Enjoy your time as a dad!

I'm a stay at home dad to our 11 month old girl, Leila.

Take it easy,
jc

hiya whitty999,
Welcome onboard !!
Wow!! your son is almost 2 months - do keep looking after your missus and yourself too.
Your son needs you both to keep fit and healthy (even if he helps you both to be rather tired).

I've just finished a bottle feed myself so will go for a well earned sleep 😀
I hope to bump into you in amongst the posts...

Everyone talks about "the stats", but in reality events such as deaths simply either happen to you / in your life or do not. So I can imagine it being quite tough. The whole sleeping and breathing thing was one of the parts I found the hardest to be relaxed about, and got easier with each child.

The one good thing here is that it never ceases to amaze how our kids bodies are "designed to live" - I wish I had a good example, but consider how fragile they look and yet there are billions of us on the planet.
