A Father’s First Words

Having recovered from the TENS machine experiment (physically anyway), this week got a little more emotive. Two friends had their babies, meaning that Faith is the most pregnant person I know. We are next.

To celebrate, I have been thinking about being woken up in the night and labour (the birth kind, not the political party).

For the past nine months, whenever the words sleep or rest come up in a conversation, people are apparently compelled to say stuff like;

“Enjoy your sleep now… ‘cos you won’t be getting any after the baby comes
