I’ll try to keep this short but this is my story. 15 months of agonising [censored] fighting the corrupt organisation of the CM. A husband that nearly became one of the statistics of suicide caused by CM and the lying deceitful benefit fruadster that is his ex. She (as she doesn’t even deserve to be addressed by her name ) lied to CM claiming daughter was in full time education . She wasn’t by the way. Restarted CM claim and my husband was facing £4k arrears and monthly payments. Went through mandatory reconsideration, a tribunal and won (she decided to close the case and reject the arrears just before the court date ohhh and just before her child benefit ended!!!! Funny that!!!!) we still went to court to let the truth be heard had every bit of evidence and she didn’t bother to show?apparently her evidence was an application form for a college and her word. CM couldn’t have given a [censored] about all our evidence because she was fraudulently in receipt of child benefit. 2 months after our tribunal win heard nothing from CM so sent a 300 plus page complaint. Still no reply so sent a letter to the resolution team. Still no reply. So went to the MP. They had to look into this then. Upshot is they claim they made no mistakes!!!!! Even though their final letter had so many apologies in it. They won’t pay us back won’t pay compensation and no action will be taken against her!! In effect they are overruling a judges order which I think is actually illegal!! So CM are saying then it’s acceptable to lie, claim benefit fraudulently, give false evidence . Benefit that was claimed for 18 months. Yes tax payers….. that’s your money being fraudulently sucked from the system….. Rang benefit fraud only to be spoken to like I as the criminal. Yet all you hardworking dads will be threatened of losing your DL having to sell your home or go to jail if you refuse to pay. The CM is corrupt, operated by people who really don’t give a [censored] about how they treat you, make up fictitious figures from thin air, lie to you and show no empathy for your well being. So I guess what I am saying is I wish I hadn’t wasted 15 months fighting an organisation that I was never going to win. The CM is outdated, and needs reviewing desperately. It’s bias and unfair and takes no responsibility for its actions. So stay strong dads out there. Karma is a [censored] and one day those lying fraudsters who are trying to scam you will meet karma full on and I hope she bites them hard.
I sympathise with you I have been arguing and fighting with the corrupt system CM who has put me over 4K arrears shown no evidence as how they reached this amount listen to lies of mother and bias towards fathers I’ve listed my job I’ve had a breakdown in dealing with these no good incompetent useless system I wish they burn In [censored]

Considering selling my story to a newspaper. It will be an inbelievable read….Something needs doing in highlighting this shambles of a government service. Then at least we may reap some money back as the CM will not reinstate us. I forgot to ask a question also on here…. If a tribunal ruling is legally binding stating that the weekly liability per week due is zero from a certain date, can CM override this and choose not to reimburse payments made after this date???? Surely this is illegal.
I fully sympathise and understand your position, as I have posted a thread about their fictitious figures and the rubbish I'm going through and have done for over 10 years now.
I'm in the process of going through PHSO once I get a response (and depending on what it is) I am aiming to take legal action against CMS. Hopefully it won't go that far but unfortunately it's gone through 3 MP's, several ICE, as well as their internal complaints and ombudsman.
hi thanks for your reply. So that’s just 3 of us out of thousands of dads experiencing the same thing. I take it you never got any further with the MPs and ICE. The problem is we are just little people fighting a corrupt government led organisation who simply make their own rules up. And us little people often cannot afford to take legal action so give up. They therefore just get away with their actions. I wonder if our PM has any idea what is going on. Something definitely is so wrong but how is this fought? The system totally needs a reform and so does the benefits fraud system. Not enough people to look into fraudulent child benefit claims as this is my case was the overriding factor in everything. Even though it was proven the RP was claiming fraudulently! I hope you win your campaign against them. Good luck

My MP's just listened to the rubbish that CMS stated so it was a loss. However in order to progress it I had to exhaust all avenues. The ICE won't listen until you exhaust internal complaints, MP's won't listen until you've gone through ICE and PHSO want copies of ICE, CMS final responses and referred by MP. It's an absolute joke but needs must.
I fully agree the CMS does need a massive overhaul as it's not fit for purpose. The CMS only look if the RP is claiming CB. They don't ask for proof of course that child is on. And they have admitted several times that CB can be claimed fraudulently but they still don't care.

That’s been the deciding factor in all our 15 months of fighting this…. CHILD BENEFIT. Even though we proved in court it was being claimed fraudulently. It’s crazy and no wonder the benefits system is in the state it is!!! You’re right no one cares that there is fraud. If you’re hard working and honest you get treated like you are the criminal. Even the CMS employer guide states that the ‘direct evidence from the client ie RP is most important ‘ over any hard evidence. Where in any court in the land would this stand!!!!!! The whole guide CMS uses protects the RP even when they lie!!! So she gets 18 months of child benefit fraudulently, CM payments fraudulently and nothing happens . She told a lie, it was proven in court so she should be fined £1000 as stated in all their brochures! But you law abiding hard working dads are going to always going to be victimised . They also say they cannot be bias and everyone has a right to be heard…. We saw none of this…. Corrupt !
