I'm not 100% on the fraud side of things other than what's in legislation for the fraud act itself.
As for unbiased and impartial, I think everyone knows CMS is far from that.
It is frustrating as [censored] and I'll be the first to admit to loosing my temper with them on numerous occasions for just 'reading a script' on their computer monitor (you can tell with the same spiel every time with different ✌🏻advisors✌🏻)
Thank you for posting this thread. I left my job due to redundancy, accepted by CMS that I would not be able to make any payments and my monthly payments moved to £0. Low and behold the RP requested a Mandatory reconsideration. That was rejected (as I had no earnings!) 4 days later I receive a letter stating that I must have assets/income from undeclared sources to the tune of £40k. Essentially the RP doesn't want a better paid job and I presume has told CMS that she is in hardship and the children will suffer - never missed a CMS payment in 5 years...As I type this, I am on hold to CMS (I presume they prefer that, than me attempting to get another job!). The purpose for my reply is that I am completely with you that CMS is not fit for purpose. I have 2 friends that are willing to help put together some sort of press release and get this out into the wider world. There has to be 00's of Non-resident parents that are daily suffering the anxiety of a CMS letter/email about the musings of RPs desperate to waste the NRP time.
